Fundraising Tour

Step back in time and experience a 4th of July
celebration as it was in the 1860’s!
On this evening fundraising tour, you’ll meet many
interesting and entertaining early Sacramentans – from
the city’s founder to the woman who raised the first
flag over the state capital. Our ‘residents‘ love to
welcome visitors and are eager to share their stories
with you. You’ll be treated to old fashioned stump
speeches, personal anecdotes and a wide array of
patriotic merry-making.
The tours commence at 7:00 & 9:00 pm from
the Cemetery’s main gate at Broadway and 10th Street.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of a
tour. Visitors may park across the street from the 10th Street
Gate and meet at the cemetery entrance. Held under the
auspices of the City of Sacramento Division of History &
Science, this tour is a fund-raiser for the Old City
Cemetery Committee, Inc.
